Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Disrupt Electricity Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have come under increased attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have caused power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, Kyiv.

Several individuals were wounded while residents in the city's east were experienced blackouts and dealt with disruption to drinking water, as stated by city officials.

Meanwhile, a young boy was lost their life in a distinct Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated assaults on power infrastructure over the last fortnight, while the country's government has demanded "concrete actions" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, the EU and the Group of Seven - in supplying defensive weapons and applying restrictions," mentioned in a public message.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen missiles struck energy facilities, labeling such attacks as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were laboring to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes hit energy infrastructure and civilian homes in the capital.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, according to municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region endured significant strikes during nighttime hours. A minor died and three other people were hurt.

The attacks succeed periods of bombing campaigns in the territory, parts of which are occupied by invading troops.

The whole nation is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to spot.

National leaders told reporters that Russia was purposely seeking to damage the national power system, with strikes already disrupting gas facilities.

Officials stated energy workers and officials were anticipating further attacks.
